What is touch IC disease?

There are two chips on the iPhone 6 plus logic board that handle the touch functionality. The two chips are called Meson and Cumulus to the repair community. U2401 (Cumulus) and U2402 (Meson) as they are known in the schematics.

The iphone 6 and 6 plus housing is prone to bending and whatever bending that takes place with the frame also bends the logic board. With the bending of the logic board, the ball grid array (BGA) chips on the logic board also seem to break from it leading to what the repair community knows as “touch IC disease”.

Symptoms of touch logic ic failure:

• Horizontal line at top of screen
• No touch screen
• Screen jumping
• Intermitant screen

If we decline your device we will provide a full refund minus £5.50 for return shipping. We only test and guarantee are workmanship for 3 months and nothing else.

Not all devices are repairable or economically repairable, we work on a NO FIX NO FEE basis. If we can’t repair then all you pay is £5.50 return shipping.
